Taste of Country is looking for its next class of RISERS, and 94.3/97.3 The Wolf wants to shine a spotlight on talented Hudson Valley musicians.

The Taste of Country RISERS is a year-long program showcasing performers poised to break out in the country music scene. The selected RISERS are featured in interviews and performances on the Taste of Country website and social media platforms, afforded opportunities to play major country music festival and featured on the Taste of Country Nights radio show.

We want a Hudson Valley musician in the 2018 class.

Taste of Country is offering each of its stations a chance to send one of their local country performers to compete for a shot in the class. One hot seat will be determined by fan voting and 94.3/97.3 The Wolf wants to send a Hudson Valley Performer to compete. It could be a major career boost for your favorite, local country act.

This is where you come in, Hudson Valley.

Over the next few weeks, we're inviting Hudson Valley acts to submit a video of them performing an original song through the Wolf app. The Wolf team will review the submissions and select up to four acts to perform at the Wolf Cider Jam at Angry Orchard in December.

Those attending the Wolf Cider Jam will get a chance to vote on their favorite performer. We'll also make the performances available online so more Wolf listeners can vote. After that, a lucky Hudson Valley musician will go on to compete to be a RISER with the full backing of the Wolf Pack.

We hope you're as excited as we are for this opportunity. We'll have more details for you in the weeks ahead. In the mean time, start spreading the word and make sure your favorite local country act submits.
