Just days after the Gap announced it would be closing its location at the Poughkeepsie Galleria another Hudson Valley retailer will be following suit.

A spokesperson for AT&T has confirmed that at the end of this month it will be closing it's kiosk location at the Poughkeepsie Galleria. The company gave no specific indications as to why the location would be closing up shop but did say there would be no disruption in customer service.

"AT&T is committed to providing our customers with a best in class shopping experience.  While it is true that we are closing our kiosk location, we look forward to better serving our customers at our high tech AT&T store at 1936 South Road in Poughkeepsie, which has a much larger selection of today's advanced wireless products and services to choose from."

Customers won't have to go far to check out the more high tech store, which is located just across the street from the Poughkeepsie Galleria. AT&T customers can also find service across town at another nearby location, 718 Dutchess Turnpike in Arlington. The kiosk was the only corporately owned wireless provider in the Galleria. Only authorized retailers remain.

On a more positive note, AT&T officials say there will be no jobs lost in the Hudson Valley due to the closure. All the employees who worked at the kiosk have been transferred to other nearby locations.
