Local ingredient Chili is on the menu for lunch this Saturday in New Paltz. It's the 9th Annual local Ingredient Chili Challenge at Water Street Market from 12p to 3p. Chili tasting starts at 12pm with proceeds benefit the St Joseph's Food Pantry.

Come out to enjoy delicious locally sourced chili from some of your favorite local restaurants and home chefs. Taste ticket are sold 1 ticket for $1,12 tickets for $10 and 25 tickets for $20. All chili must contain at least 5 local ingredients (from a 90 mile radius) so fresh and yummy is always on the menu.

There are Awards for Best Professional, Best Home Chef, Best Vegetarian, Most Creative and People's Choice. Participants/Chili Cooks for this year are Murphy's, Shea O'Briens, Galadeto's, The Parish, Jar'd, Upstairs on 9, The Mudd Puddle, Schatzi's, The Global Palate, Jessica Tree, Bill Gehris, Melissa Matt, and Seth and Anna Vangasbeek.
