If you happen to be traveling out of Albany International Airport this holiday season, you may see something a bit unusual.

Bacon Bits, the therapy pig has been hired by Albany International Airport to relax travelers. According to ABC New 10 in Albany, Canine Ambassador director Helen Chadderon thinks Bacon Bits is "perfect match for the public, he loves people, he wags his tail, he’s friendly."

Terry Hutchinson, Bacon Bits' owner, met an airport canine ambassador during a Halloween parade and decided to reach out since they visit several establishments throughout the year, why not head to the very stressful airport?

Chadderon, at first was a bit hesitant to hire the 20-month old Bacon Bits who weighs in at 101 pounds. However, once Bacon Bits showed up in her office she knew it was meant to be.

Chadderon stated, "“The purpose is to relax people and calm them, de-stress them. It breaks their train of thought when they’re trying to get through the check point or once they get through.”

Bacon Bits visits over 65 different facilities throughout the year with his owner Terry. The therapy pig was given to Hutchinson as a gift after recovering from being sick.
