A Hudson Valley man that had a warrant out for his arrest in Pennsylvania was arrested in Kingston.

City of Kingston Police say they stopped a vehicle for a traffic stop on Broadway near Pine Grove Avenue. Allegedly 35-year-old Larry Jackson, of Kingston provided police with a fake name.

An investigation revealed the suspect’s real name. It’s believed Jackson provided a fake name in an attempt to avoid being arrested on an outstanding parole warrant in Pennsylvania from Jan. 2015.

Jackson was charged as a fugitive of justice. He was additionally charged with aggravated unlicensed operation and false personation, misdemeanors.

Police from Pennsylvania were notified of the arrest and is in the process of extradition proceedings.
