An investigation by police led to the arrest of 3 people after a female was stabbed in Orange County.

On July 13, members of the Town of Wallkill Police Department and the New York State Police responded reports of an assault on Genung Street. Arriving officers found a 25-year-old female resident with stab wounds to her shoulder and head.

The unnamed victim was transported to Orange Regional Medical Center (“ORMC”) by Mobile Life Support Services, where she is in stable condition.

An investigation began and shortly after two suspects were arrested. 21-year-old Linda C. Hunt and 24-year-old Rochelle R. Thomas, both of Wallkill, were both charged with 1st-degree assault, 1st-degree burglary, and 4th-degree conspiracy.

Days later a third suspect in connection with the stabbing was arrested. 23-year-old Tracy Walker, of Wallkill was arrested after police were called to investigate a domestic dispute in the parking lot of 474 Route 211 East. Walker was charged with 1st-degree burglary and 4th-degree conspiracy.
